There is some Big East basketball lined up for Tuesday, Dec. 16, and at PeoplesBank Arena in Hartford, Conn. the No. 5 UConn Huskies are hosting the Butler Bulldogs in their first conference game this season.
This college basketball game is scheduled to start at 8:30 p.m. EST and will be broadcast on Peacock. Fans looking to watch can do so by using Peacock, which has plans starting at $7.99 a month and offers exclusive access to certain Big Ten and Big East games.
UConn is 10-1 and coming off a 71-63 win over Texas in which everybody who played made a contribution. Alex Karaban was the game’s leading scorer with 18 points while Tarris Reed Jr. had 12, six rebounds, five assists, four blocks and a steal. Braylon Mullins and Jaylin Stewart both had 10 while Solo Ball had 9, and Malachi Smith dished out nine assists.
Butler last played against Providence on Saturday in a 113-110 double overtime marathon. The Bulldogs earned their first Big East win of the season and improved to 8-2 behind 28 points and 15 rebounds from Michael Ajayi, who also had two steals and a block. Finley Bizjack went for 26 and Evan Haywood went for 18 off the bench with four assists and a pair of steals. Drayton Jones had 11 points, eight assists, seven boards and two blocks while Azavier Robinson chipped in 11 as well and Jamie Kaiser Jr. went for 15, five assists and five boards.
