The first two episodes of FX’s newest series, “Adults,” will premiere on Wednesday, May 28.
The new series follows a group of twenty-somethings in New York trying to be good people, despite being neither “good” nor “people” yet. “Adults” will premiere at 9 p.m. ET on FX. Those without cable can watch the show for free through FuboTV or DirecTV Stream each offering a free trial to new users. Sling is another option for streaming the show, and promotional offers are available.
The new ensemble comedy series stars “Samir” (Malik Elassal), “Billie” (Lucy Freyer), “Paul Baker” (Jack Innanen), “Issa” (Amita Rao) and “Anton” (Owen Thiele) who are five friends crashing together in Samir’s childhood home, where they share their meals, anxieties and, occasionally, toothbrushes, according to FX.
Over the eight-episode season, the housemates will tackle what it’s like to get started in the adult world, like getting ahead at work, navigating the healthcare system, hosting a dinner party or dating in the age of Find My Friends. The group is finding that nothing about the real world is simple, and all their best intentions tend to make things worse.
The friend group is made up of a sweetheart and an overthinker, Samir, his childhood best friend Billie, confident and unapologetic, Issa, Anton, everyone’s instant best friend and Paul Baker, the newest to the group.
In episode one, the friend group finds out that someone they know is making national headlines, and in episode two, the group accompanies Billie to the hospital for a colonoscopy and must decide who should be her medical proxy.
