The 2025 US Open has reached its final days and the Women’s Singles final and Men’s Singles final take place on Saturday, Sept. 6 and Sunday, Sept. 7, respectively, at Arthur Ashe Stadium at the USTA National Tennis Center in New York.
The Women’s final is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. EDT on Saturday and will be broadcast on ESPN and ESPN Deportes. The Men’s final is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. EDT on Sunday and will be broadcast on ABC and ESPN Deportes. Fans looking to watch can do so for free by using DIRECTV, which offers a free trial, or FuboTV, which also offers a free trial as well as up to $30 off your first month. SlingTV doesn’t offer a free trial but has promotional offers available for streaming the game. You can stream ESPN+ on your phone, tablet, smart TV or gaming console for $11.99/month or bundle with Disney+ and Hulu for just $16.99 per month.
The Women’s Final takes place first and features No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka, looking to secure at least one Grand Slam title in 2025 after losing the Australian Open Final to American No. 6 Madison Keys, the Roland Garros Final to another American, No. 3 Coco Gauff, and the Wimbledone semifinals to her opponent Saturday, American and No. 8 Amanda Anisimova. That Wimbledon semifinal was 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 in favor of Anisimova, who would lose the final to No. 2 Iga Swiatek, the same player Anisimova defeated in the quarterfinals before defeated two-time US Open winner Naomi Osaka in the semis. Sabalenka won this tournament last year for the first time and for her third major title, defeating No. 4 Jessica Pegula in the Finals, the same opponent whom she bested in the semifinals.
The Men’s Final is the third consecutive Grand Slam Final that pits No. 1 Jannik Sinner against No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz. Sinner won at Wimbledon after losing to Alcaraz at Roland Garros, making Sunday’s US Open a rubber match of sorts for 2025. However, Sinner did win at the Australian Open to start the year as well, so another win means three Grand Slams on the year and five four his career as he won the Australian Open in 2024 and is also the reigning US Open champion. Alcaraz is seeking his sixth career major and second of 2025 after winning Wimbledon and Roland Garros in 2024, Wimbledon in 2023 and the US Open in 2022.
