
MONTREAL — Bruins linemates Brad Marchand and Elias Lindholm squared off against each other to open the NHL 4 Nations Classic. Here’s how they did:
Brad Marchand — The Bruins captain scored his sixth career international goal in the first period to put Canada ahead 2-0 at the time. He played 17 shifts over 11:22. He had two shots on goal and was plus-1. He had a hit and a takeaway.
Elias Lindholm — Lindholm was playing his first best-on-best international game for Sweden. He centered the fourth line.
He played 10:47 over 19 shifts. He won three of five faceoffs but won key draws against both Sidney Crosby and Connor McDavid in the defensive zone.
He wasn’t on the ice for any goal scored by either team.
