NORTON — Three lengthy rain delays at TPC Boston halted the second round of the FM Championship from finishing.
The round was called at 7:15 p.m. due to darkness Those who didn’t finish their second round on Friday will resume at 7 a.m. on Saturday.
There are 72 players still to finish their second rounds.
The third round is expected to start at around 12:30 p.m.
Notable players who were unable to finish Friday’s round were Nelly Korda — the world’s No. 2 ranked women’s golfer — and Sei Young Kim — who was atop the leaderboard after Day 1.
Korda finished 2-under through four holes, while Kim shot 1-under through four.
LPGA rookie Miranda Wang claimed the top spot on the leaderboard after a 5-under day brought her score to 11-under.
Jeeno Thitikul — the No. 1 ranked women’s golfer in the world — Hannah Green, Madelene Sagstrom and Megan Khang were among those who completed Round 2.
