HOLYOKE — The Local Historic District Commission wants to fill two vacancies.
The board must consist of three to seven members, appointed by Holyoke Mayor Joshua A. Garcia and confirmed by the City Council. The commission, founded on Nov. 20, 1972, is dedicated to preserving and enhancing the city’s historical and archaeological treasures.
Lauren Niles, the chair of the commission, said the panel had not received any responses from architects. Additionally, the one person who showed interest did not follow through.
