HOLYOKE – A woman is recovering from serious injuries she suffered after an unprovoked attack Sunday by a German shepherd in Holyoke, which authorities classified as a near-fatal “level five” incident.
The dog will be in quarantine for 10 days.
Holyoke Police Chief Brian Keenan said in a statement Monday that officers went to Sargeant Street around 12:15 p.m. Sunday after getting a call about the attack.
