HOLYOKE — No need to weed through garden catalogs.
The Preservation Trust‘s Garden Tour on Saturday offered guests an opportunity to walk through landscaped gardens, pick blueberries at a blueberry farm by a pond and visit the historic site of an old mill transformed into a place of quiet and calm.
Guests received recipes from the 18th century at each stop and collected tips from gardeners.
The keynote speaker was Bernie Conway, a gardener at the Peggy Rockefeller Rose Garden, part of the New York Botanical Garden’s horticulture team.
The event is a fund-raiser for the Holyoke Preservation Trust.
