High surf advisory for Bristol County until Saturday morning

A high surf advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 2:16 a.m. in effect until Saturday at 8 a.m. for Bristol County.

The weather service comments, “Large breaking waves increasing each day, peaking Friday with waves of 6 to 10 feet expected in the surf zone.”

“Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion,” comments the weather service. “Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions.”
