Life Alive Organic Café, a small but growing Massachusetts-based chain known for its organic ingredients and nutrient-dense recipes, is expanding its footprint into another Boston-area suburb.
On Tuesday, Aug. 5, Life Alive will open the doors to a new location at 91 Middlesex Turnpike in Burlington, according to the business. It will be in a shopping plaza across the street from Burlington Mall.
The opening marks the 14th location for the brand, which started in 2004 in Lowell, and now has three cafés each in Boston and Cambridge, two in Somerville, and one each in Brookline, Dedham and Salem — as well as one out-of-state location in Washington, D.C.
Life Alive said with the new 3,800-square-foot, 90-seat café it aims to bring its “artfully scratch-prepared dishes” and “invigorating food that tastes as great as it makes you feel” to the business hub of Burlington and that area.
Life Alive’s food menu includes “chef-crafted, made-to-order” items such as grain bowls, salads, ramen, wraps and pita sandwiches.
The brand cited fan-favorite menu items such as its “Spicy Peanut Noodles,” “Might Greens Salad,” and “Crispy Falafel Pita” among its Burlington food offerings.
For drinks, customers can find items like “fresh cold-pressed juices, smoothies, açaí bowls, wellness lattes, and espresso beverages,” Life Alive added.
Guests can expect signature drinks such as its “Caramel Sea Salt Latté” and “Vanilla Tahini Latté,” served hot or iced, according to Life Alive.
The café will be open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Life Alive plans to also offer catering services for events from its Burlington location.
Bryan Timko, CEO of Life Alive Organic Café, said in a statement that Burlington has “always been one of our most-requested locations.”
The new café will feature a “colorful, contemporary aesthetic” with “an array of artwork and cozy corners” along with a “spacious patio” for warm-weather outdoor seating, Life Alive said.
Life Alive added its new café will feature “plenty of power outlets” and complimentary Wi-Fi, ideal for those planning to work remotely from their mobile devices.
The first 100 guests to Life Alive’s new Burlington café Aug. 5 will receive branded gift bags and free hot or iced lattes from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Life Alive noted that proceeds from its opening day will go toward supporting Burlington-based food bank People Helping People, which provides nourishing meals for those in need.
Later this year, Life Alive plans to expand further with more restaurants in the Washington, D.C. suburbs of Northern Virginia.
