Here’s what we know about approaching thunderstorms

Rain is headed to Massachusetts for the later half of the week, including some thunderstorms.

Thunderstorms are expected in the Berkshires Wednesday afternoon, the National Weather Service predicted.

“A few thunderstorms may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts and hail,” the weather service stated.

A hazardous weather outlook was issued for the area as flooding could also be a problem due to the rain.

Rain could start by 4 a.m. on Wednesday. It is expected to last through Monday.

The rest of the state can also expect a rainy week.

There is a chance of rain, including some thunderstorms, starting Wednesday and lasting until Monday.

The rain could start as early as 6 a.m. on Wednesday in Springfield. Although it is most likely the rain will start around 9 a.m.

In Worcester and Boston, the National Weather Service predicts rain could start around 6 a.m. but is most likely around 10 a.m.

And on Cape Cod, rain could start around 11 a.m. But it is most likely going to start around 5 p.m., the weather service stated.
