Shoppers headed to the Brimfield Flea Market for its opening day Tuesday are in for a treat, and not just because of the wide array of items available at the market this year.
With a projected high temperature of 78, Tuesday will be the “warmest and brightest of the next several days,” according to National Weather Service forecasters. Skies will be clear for the large majority of the day, making for a beautiful day to explore the flea market.
But, the weather will take a turn for the worse as soon as Wednesday.
The weather service is projecting slight showers before 2 p.m. and after 3 p.m. Wednesday, with mostly cloudy skies. It’s not all bad as the forecasted high for the day is 71.
Longer-term, forecasters say they have “below-average confidence” in projected temperatures and rainfall for Wednesday through Monday.
“Won’t be raining the whole time, with Friday offering some potential for drier weather, but generally cloudy with periods of at least possible showers,” forecasters wrote.
The Brimfield Flea Market’s May 2024 show will run from Tuesday, May 14 to Sunday, May 19.
The hours vary depending on which show field you plan to visit. Overall, booths are open to shop from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday’s show will conclude around 3 p.m., according to the Brimfield Flea Market’s website.
