Summer coming to a close may not normally be a cause for celebration. But for fans of Frostys, Wendy’s has a special treat in store.
The fast food chain is selling Frostys for $1 until Sept. 15. The promotion coincides with the likely end of the limited availability of the Triple Berry flavor, which launched in June. Triple Berry combines strawberry, blackberry and raspberry into one creamy dessert.
Both the Triple Berry and Chocolate flavors are eligible for the promotion.
Last summer, Wendy’s launched a Strawberry flavor that gave way to Pumpkin Spice in the fall and Peppermint in the winter. This spring, Wendy’s debuted an Orange Dreamsicle favor, which was replaced by Triple Berry in the lineup.
“As summer ends, Wendy’s is giving fans a celebratory treat that can’t be beat,” the press release reads.
In the release, Wendy’s also weighed in on the endless debate about how best to consume a Frosty: “scoop, dip or sip?” While the chain didn’t take a stance itself, it revealed that 70% of fans say “Frosty Time calls for a spoon.”
“Meanwhile, Gen Z is most likely to be seen dipping Wendy’s Hot & Crispy Fries in their Frosty as their preferred utensil,” the release reads.
