Rain is back Wednesday morning across Massachusetts.
Luckily, forecasters at the National Weather Service expect it to be quick-moving, bringing partial sunshine by the afternoon. The rain will rapidly move eastward, with the last of the steady rain expected to exit coastal areas by mid to late morning.
Some of the morning rain, however, could be heavy. This is especially true for Worcester and Boston.
Temperatures will remain mild, with highs in the lower to middle 60s, before a cooling trend sets in for the remainder of the week.
The Berkshires will likely be the coldest Wednesday with a high of around 59 degrees and a low of 35 degrees. Springfield and Worcester will be around 64 degrees with a low of 41 degrees. Those on Cape Cod will likely have a high around 65 degrees and lows around 51 degrees. And Boston is expected to be the warmest with 66 degrees and a low of 54 degrees.
Thursday and Friday will likely have considerable cloud cover and temperatures in the upper 50s and lower 60s. While primarily dry, there’s a slight chance of spot showers, particularly in the afternoon.
The weekend is expected to bring significantly cooler conditions, with high temperatures mainly in the 50s and overnight lows dipping into the upper 20s and 30s. This represents temperatures slightly below normal for the season.
