DEVENS — The clouds gave way to clear skies as runners across the state gathered at Willard Park to the MIAA Division III Cross Country Championship qualifier on Saturday. Multiple Western Mass. teams were in attendance with hopes of extending their season one more week for the Meet of Champions.

There were three waves of races each for boys and girls. The top seven from each wave, plus two wild cards, qualified for the final state meet next weekend. The MIAA presented trophies for the top two teams in each race as well as the top 15 runners.
