The streak has continued.

The top-seeded Longmeadow girls’ tennis team swept No. 32 Somerset Berkley, 5-0, in Friday’s Division II Round of 32 matchup to earn its 43rd consecutive win.

Sarah Tiru and Bailey Downes defeated their opponents in straight sets to begin first and second singles. Though Kelci Talati dropped one set, she still defeated Josie Borden, 6-0, 6-1, to seal the tournament win for the Lancers.

Despite those individual victories, that didn’t stop first doubles partners Nora McMahon and Ellen Kennedy and second doubles partners Anaya Mohani and Maia Oh from finishing that match in style, as they also won in straight sets (6-0, 6-1 & 6-0, 6-4). The outcome marked Longmeadow’s 13th team shutout this season and fourth consecutive.

The Lancers will look to continue their bid for a second straight D-II state title, as they welcome No. 17 Bedford to town on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
