Get ready to rumble: WWE Supershow comes to Springfield

Let’s get ready to rumble.

The WWE Supershow is coming to town with some of their best wrestlers on Sunday, Nov. 5, at the MassMutual Center in Springfield.

Showtime in the ring is 7 p.m. Fans can head to StubHub or *VividSeats or go to the MassMutual Center Box Office in downtown Springfield.

*Fans who purchase tickets through VividSeats can get $20 off a $200+ ticket order by using the promo code MassLive20 at checkout.*

Sunday’s wrestling card, which the WWE states is “subject to change,” includes Ricochet vs Shinsuke Nakamura vs Intercontinental Champion “The Ring” General Gunther, NXT Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs Tiffany Stratton, Charlotte Flair vs WWE Women’s Champion Iyo Sky, as well as matches including Carlito, Grayson Waller, Kofi Kingston, and The Street Profits – The Brawling Brutes OMO, among many others.

In one of the evening’s biggest matches led by Ricochet, audiences will be treated to triple the action in what is expected to be an adrenaline-pumping event to see who comes out on top.

After making his mark in the international wresting scene for over a decade, Ricochet broke through in NXT in 2018 capturing the NXT North American Championship, and won the 2019 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Class alongside Aleister Black. His wrestling power landed him on Monday Night Raw the following year, including sensational clashes against the likes of AJ Styles, King Corbin and Samoa Joe, who he defeated at WWE Stomping Grounds to capture the coveted United States Championship.

Early last year he added to his trophy cabinet by winning the Intercontinental Championship. During the 2023 WWE draft, Ricochet, as well as partner Braun Strowman were drafted to Raw.

Finding fame in wrestling first in Japan, opponent Nakamura arrived stateside to perform in WWE NXT, where he was the NXT Champion twice. He went on to SmackDown, where he amassed major victories over John Cena, Randy Orton, Dolph Ziggler and others who got in his way.

He has used his hard-hitting style to win the 2018 Royal Rumble Match, capture the United States Championship on two separate occasions, win his first Intercontinental Title and subsequently the SmackDown Tag Team Titles with Cesaro.

During the 2023 WWE Draft, Nakamura was drafted to Raw for the first time in his career. On the Aug. 8 episode of Raw, The King of Strong Style called his shot by leveling World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins with the Kinshasa following their win over The Judgment Day in Six-Man Tag Team action.

Third opponent Gunther – who has already beat Ricochet in the ring – with titles in Germany, England, Ireland and the United States, only took three months after arriving in NXT UK to notch his biggest accomplishment in his career, ending Pete Dunne’s historic 685-day reign as WWE United Kingdom Champion. “The Ring General” held the prestigious title for more than two years in battles with Ilja Dragunov, A-Kid, Joe Coffey and Rampage Brown.

At NXT TakeOver 36, Gunther’s 870-day reign finally came to an end at the hands of Dragunov.

Flanked by his partner-in-crime Ludwig Kaiser, Gunther made his way to SmackDown where he toppled Ricochet three months after his SmackDown debut to win the Intercontinental Championship.

After becoming one of the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champions in WWE history, Gunther was drafted to Raw during the 2023 WWE Draft.

Tickets start at $20 and are available on the MassMutual Center website.
