
Funeral plans for a Roxbury man killed in a shooting in a residential neighborhood last week have been announced.
Anildo Cardoso, 41, died on June 9. At around 8:51 p.m., Cardoso was found with a gunshot wound in front of a home at 4 Levant St. in Dorchester, Boston police said in a statement. The neighborhood is around the corner from the bus stop on Bowdoin Street at Geneva Avenue.
Cardoso was taken to Boston Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
So far, police have not identified a possible suspect.
Cardoso leaves his mother, his children, his sister and “a host of relatives and friends who will miss him dearly,” his obituary read.
Funeral services will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 20 at St. Peter Parish at 311 Bowdoin St. in Dorchester. Cardoso’s funeral Mass will be held the following day at the same location at 10 a.m. Lastly, interment is scheduled for 12 p.m. that same day at Cedar Grove Cemetery at 920 Adams St. in Boston.
