SPRINGFIELD — After 10 years of planning, construction on the “X” intersection in Springfield’s Forest Park neighborhood will begin in the spring.
“Anyone that’s gone through that intersection, it is a nightmare,” said Monica Tibbits-Nutt, the state’s transportation secretary. “This is probably one of the biggest intersection projects we are going to be doing in the next year or so.”
