Four $100,000 lottery tickets sold at this Massachusetts convenience store

One convenience store in Massachusetts sold four winning $100,000 “Mass Cash” lottery tickets Saturday.

The winning tickets were sold at L & M Convenience in Malden, and the $100,000 prizes were won during Saturday night’s “Mass Cash” drawing, according to the State Lottery’s website. The winning numbers were 14, 16, 17, 31 and 32.

The odds of winning $100,000, the top prize that can be won in “Mass Cash,” are one in 324,632. To play the game, players have to select five numbers between one and 35 manually or randomly by using the lottery computer. Each play costs $1. Drawings take place daily at 9 p.m.

There were lucky lottery ticket-holders who won big throughout this week. Someone who played the same numbers five times on their “Mass Cash” ticket won $500,000 on Thursday. A gas station near Boston Logan International Airport sold a $100,000 prize also claimed Thursday. A $100,000 ticket claimed Tuesday was bought in a coastal town, while two other prizes claimed the same day were sold from two different stores in Chicopee. Two lottery players in the commonwealth won $50,000 in Monday night’s Powerball drawing, when the $1.765 billion jackpot was hit.

The State Lottery publishes a list every day of all the winning lottery tickets worth at least $600 sold or claimed in Massachusetts. Overall, there were 191 tickets worth at least $600 sold or claimed Friday, including four in Springfield, eight in Worcester and 16 in Boston.

The two biggest lottery prizes won in Massachusetts so far this year were the $33 million and $31 million Mega Millions jackpots scored a week apart from each other in January.

The $31 million ticket, which was bought at a Gibbs gas station in Woburn, was won during the Tuesday, Jan. 3 drawing. The winner of the award claimed their prize on March 8 through the S & L Trust.

The $33 million ticket, which was bought at a Stop & Shop in Belchertown, was won during the Tuesday, Jan. 24 drawing. The winner of the award claimed their prize on March 1 through the Skylark Group Trust.
