Former Red Sox star Manny Ramirez will throw out the first pitch in Game 1 of the NLCS at Dodger Stadium on Sunday, according several reporters (including Mets beat reporter Abbey Mastracco of the New York Daily News).
First pitch between the Dodgers and Mets is scheduled for 8:15 p.m., eastern.
Ramirez won the 2004 World Series MVP when Boston took down the Cardinals in four games.
The slugger, now 52, played three seasons for the Dodgers for two and a half seasons. Boston traded him to LA on July 31, 2008, as part of a three-team that sent Jason Bay from the Pirates to the Red Sox.
Ramirez batted .322 with a .433 on-base percentage, .580 slugging percentage, 1.012 OPS, 44 homers, 53 doubles, two triples and 156 RBIs in 223 regular season games for the Dodgers. He went 22-for-57 (.386 batting average) with five homers, five doubles and 14 RBIs in 16 postseason games for them.
Ramirez played eight seasons for both Cleveland (1993-20) and Boston (2001-08) before heading to LA (2018-10). He finished out his major league career with the White Sox (end of 2010) and Rays (2011).
