Former Patriots kicker misses 1st field goal of season in loss to Bucs

It took until Week 10 for Nick Folk to miss his first field goal of the season.

The former New England Patriots kicker was a perfect 19-for-19 on field goal attempts this season and 13-for-13 on PATs going into the Titans’ game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. But that streak came to an end when his 51-yard attempt went wide right. His last miss before Sunday came during Week 13 of the 2022 season while Folk was still with the Patriots.

Folk still hit two others in the 20-6 loss as the Titans fell to 3-6.

For as much success Folk is having in Tennessee, the same can’t be said about Patriots rookie kicker Chad Ryland — who beat out Folk in New England’s kicker competition this summer. Ryland has made 12 of his 17 field goals, but is a perfect 13-for-13 on the extra point.
