SPRINGFIELD — A federal judge recently dismissed a lawsuit filed by a former Easthampton school superintendent candidate who lost a job offer in 2023 because of one word.
“Ladies,” Vito J. Perrone began an email to female Easthampton School Committee members amid negotiating his final, three-year contract.
The salutation proved fatal when the recipients objected, as Perrone was inches away from getting the post that paid $151,000 per year.
