When he was a boy in his teens, Kyreem Kynard had mentors everywhere he turned, but they were giving him the wrong advice.
“I grew up in a tough neighborhood and my mentors were in the streets,” he told The Republican. “I grew up in poverty and an environment that was negative. I made a lot of mistakes because I didn’t know any other way,” said the Springfield native.
