SPRINGFIELD — When Leo Williams named his Springfield construction firm Building for our Future, he didn’t realize how hard it would be to build the business itself.
“The biggest issue in starting a business is capital,” Williams said. “If you don’t have capital, or financing, that’s a huge challenge. I had trouble getting financing. I was considered high-risk, because I had an $11,000 loss the first year.”
