Food deal: Where to get $3 ‘super’ burritos around Boston Wednesday

Anna’s Taqueria, the Boston area’s beloved homegrown taqueria, is celebrating its 30th anniversary by offering throwback pricing on one of the brand’s signature items.

Anna’s Taqueria’s “super” sized burritos will be available for the original 1995 price of $3.50 from open to close at all 10 locations in and around Boston on Wednesday, Sept. 10.

The 12-inch customizable burritos come with customers’ choice of main filling, cheese, rice, beans, lettuce, pico, hot sauce and jalapeños, all wrapped in a hot flour tortilla.

In addition, the first 50 guests at each location will receive a commemorative 30th anniversary T-shirt with their purchase.

Inspired by San Francisco’s Mission District, the goal of Anna’s Taqueria is to bring the flavors of Mexican street food to Boston. The chain opened its first Boston-area location in Brookline in 1995 and has since grown to include nine more locations throughout Greater Boston. Anna’s Taqueria most recently welcomed its Natick location in May.

Anna’s Taqueria has other locations in Brookline, Cambridge, Somerville, Newton and Woburn as well as four in Boston. Hours vary by location.

The local chain will also open a new Boston location on Summer Street near Downtown Crossing sometime in September. Anna’s Taqueria also plans on adding locations at Legacy Place in Dedham, in South Boston and in Cranston, Rhode Island.
