BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — K-9 Corporal Lance Behringer of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is gaining attention for his artistic talent, creating murals across the county in addition to his law enforcement duties, FOX 35 reported.

When he’s not tracking criminals or conducting narcotics investigations with his K-9 partner, Gator, Behringer spends his time painting large-scale murals, according to the report.
“I started drawing as a kid, and it grew into canvas painting and now large-scale murals,” Behringer told FOX 35. “It’s a nice break from my normal job, a way to relieve some stress.”
One of his recent projects took him to Central Middle School, where Principal Heather Smith, after learning about Behringer’s artistic skills, invited him to create a mural for the school. Behringer, a former student of Central Middle, completed the mural in the school’s front office during his day off, spending 14 hours on the project, according to the report.
“This mural is definitely the most memorable one so far,” Behringer said. “I attended school here, so it means a little bit more to me.”
His artwork has been embraced by students and staff, and Behringer hopes it inspires others in the community to pursue their passions, according to the report.
