A female pedestrian died in the hospital after being involved in a car crash in Springfield Friday night.
The incident happened at around 9:30 p.m. when officers responded near the intersection of State and Pleasant streets, Springfield Police Department’s Spokesperson Ryan Walsh wrote on X.
The woman was driven to Baystate Medical Center where she died from her injuries, the statement reads.
The driver stayed at the crash scene and the incident is under investigation by the Springfield Police Department’s Traffic Unit.
