Massachusetts residents prefer to get their chicken sandwiches from a national chain that pushes customers to “eat mor chikin.”
A fast food study by Coupon Birds found that Massachusetts’ favorite fast food chicken sandwich hails from Chick-fil-A. The chicken sandwich was the preferred choice in 30 other states as well, according to the study.
“Chick-fil-A is the clear favorite, with 53% of respondents choosing it as their preferred chicken sandwich restaurant,” Coupon Birds wrote.
The study was completed by Coupon Bird surveying 2,000 participants in June 2024, with 66% identifying as women, 31% as men and 3% as non-binary. The median age of respondents was 36 years old, the site said.
Popeyes (21%) and Wendy’s (8%) followed Chick-fil-A as the second and third most popular destinations for chicken sandwiches in the country, respectively. KFC, Raising Cane’s and Jack in the Box also made the list.
Additionally, Coupon Birds found that more than 40% of Florida residents consume fast-food chicken sandwiches on a weekly basis, the most among all U.S. States. Forty-three percent of Americans admit to consuming a fast-food chicken sandwich on a monthly basis, according to the survey.
Most survey participants (35%) said that spicy chicken sandwiches were their favorite kind of chicken sandwich and 71% of respondents chose French fries as their preferred side to their sandwiches.
