Ethel Kennedy, the widow of the late Sen. Robert F. Kennedy and sister-in-law of President John F. Kennedy, suffered a stroke last Thursday and was hospitalized, grandson Joe Kennedy III announced.
She “suffered a stroke in her sleep” and “was brought to an area hospital, where she is now receiving treatment,” the former congressman wrote in a post on X.
“She is comfortable, she is getting the best care possible and she is surrounded by family,” he posted. “She is, as you may know, a strong woman who has led a remarkably fulfilling life. We are looking after her.”
