Elevated amenities, dozens of TVs and advanced technology are all part of a “new era for poker” at a New England casino.
Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut is opening a new Poker Room on Tuesday.
“Already recognized as home of one of the first poker rooms in the country, Foxwoods continues its legacy as the premier destination where champions are made and guests experience the thrill of the game at the highest level,” a press release states.
The new poker room will be in The Fox Tower, which is near parking, dining, nightlife and other activities. It will have advanced technology, automated sign-up kiosks for quick seating, 37 high-definition TVs showcasing live sports and poker and nearby DraftKings Sportsbook kiosks.
Jason Guyot, President and CEO of Foxwoods Resort Casino, calls it “an unrivaled experience for every player.”

The Poker Room operates Sunday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m., and Friday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 a.m.
Foxwoods offers over 1,900 hotel rooms, over 175,000 square feet of flexible space for meetings and events and shopping at Tanger Outlets. There are more than 3,500 slot machines and more than 20 varieties of table games with 250 tables.
