SPRINGFIELD — Life-like dinosaurs are roaming the grounds of the MassMutual Center downtown this weekend.
Jurassic Quest is taking visitors through more than 165 million years of the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods, all within the MassMutual Center.
Until Sunday, Jan. 11, the walls within the building offer almost 80 animatronic, life-size dinosaurs — some that you can even ride.
Take a look inside the prehistoric setting.
Families and visitors can even go on “The Quest,” a self-guided scavenger hunt-style activity to learn all about the dinosaurs.
For something more hands-on, kids can grab their shovels and start digging for fossils in the “Fossil Dig” area. Large tubs are filled with sand, meant to dig through to find fossils.
To add to the fun, the event offers face painting, bounce houses, photo opportunities as well as merchandise and toys to buy.
The dinosaur experience will take place through Jan. 11 at the MassMutual Center in Springfield. Last show time starts at 1 p.m. Tickets can be purchased here.
The event also provides a “Lights Down, Sound Down” experience on Saturday morning before doors open, designed for families with children who have special needs.
