A no-hitter through six innings led No. 1 Pittsfield baseball to an eventual 6-3 over No. 3 Westfield on Wednesday night.
Generals starting pitcher Jason Codey, in 89 pitches, didn’t allow a hit through six innings. His first hit allowed was in the seventh inning. He ultimately allowed four hits, three earned runs, and two walks.
Codey struck out six batters.
Morrie Fried went 1-for-3 with his one hit coming in the first inning on a two-run blast. The hit sent in Jack Abel, who went 2-for-3 on the day with an RBI.
Pittsfield improved to 12-2, taking on Taconic on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. Westfield moved to 9-4 and will travel to No. 2 Pope Francis on the same date at 4 p.m.
