SOUTHWICK — With last year’s change in the town’s zoning bylaws that now allows buildings in zoning districts that are preexisting and non-conforming to be structurally altered or enlarged, Art Ribinskas, the owner of Crepes Tea House, has applied for a special permit to build handicapped accessible ramps to three outbuildings on the restaurant’s grounds.
“Because of the preexisting, non-conforming zoning problem we had, we weren’t able to utilize the gazebos that were built for outdoor dining,” said Stephen Salvini of Salvini Associates Inc., representing Ribinskas during a public hearing before the Planning Board Tuesday.
