LUDLOW —Despite the backing of the statewide Republican Committee, two of Ludlow’s most conservative School Committee candidates lost their bids for election Monday.
Hopefuls Ron Saloio, an incumbent, and Bella Soares fell short at the polls even after a mass mailing appealing to the town’s conservative politics. The mailer, funded by the GOP state committee, pushed the platforms of “collaborating with families” and “traditional core curriculum.”
