SOUTHWICK — To avoid scrambling at the last minute to prepare a Town Meeting article for Community Preservation Act funding, the Community Preservation Committee established a deadline for Nov. 1 to submit applications.
“We’ve talked about this for a long time,” said CPC Chair Christopher Pratt during the committee’s meeting Wednesday. “I think tonight’s the night that we actually vote on the deadline, and since a lot of communities are using that Nov. 1 deadline, I think it’s not a bad idea … why reinvent the wheel?”
