WESTFIELD — At the July 8 meeting of the Parks and Recreation Commission, Rob Levesque of R. Levesque Associates and Friends of Grandmother’s Garden board member Jackie McDowell showed the commissioners designs for an outdoor classroom pavilion area at the garden, paid for by a $30,000 grant this spring from the Community Preservation Committee.
Levesque said the 30- by 40-foot wood pavilion will be placed on the lower lawn across from Westfield Technical Academy. He said they met with Mayor Michael McCabe to talk about funding sources for the pavilion, which is anticipated to cost $500,000.
