Classic rock show to benefit vets struggling with PTSD happening in Arlington

Several New England performers are coming together this weekend to rock out for military veterans struggling with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Hidden Battles is presenting a “Rock n’Roll Circus” on at the Arlington Theatre in Arlington on Saturday, March 2. The non-profit organization, located in Dracut, works to help preserve the healthy minds of active and retired military and veterans, firefighters, law enforcement officers, nurses and other first responders.

“Through community-based and peer-lead activity, driven treatment and counseling for depression, suicidal tendencies and PTSD, we strive to improve the mental health of our heroes and their loved ones,” Hidden Battles’ website reads.

The special benefit concert will feature New England Blues musician James Montgomery (James Montgomery Band, Johnny Winter Band) along with Boston guitarist Jon Butcher (Jon Butcher Axis, Experience Hendrix).

Joining Montgomery and Butcher will be frontman and guitarist, Sal Baglio (the Stompers) along with 2023 New England Music Hall of Fame inductee Robin Lane (Robin Lane & the Chartbusters).

The backing band, Dyer, Goodwin and Chakour, consists of performers who have toured and recorded with such legends as Tina Turner, Joe Cocker, The J. Geils Band, Joe Perry Project and Matt “Guitar” Murphy.

The band will perform songs from their solo careers as well as from the bands they performed in. Also joining in the show will be Blues vocalist/harpist Brian David Templeton (The Delta Generators, The Proven Ones).

The Regent Theatre is located at 7 Medford St. in Arlington. People can get tickets to catch the show online.
