City Tap House in Boston hosting 3-day Swiftie takeover for ‘Eras’ movie premiere

Get ready to unleash your inner “Swiftie” when City Tap House in Boston hosts a three-day “Eras” takeover in honor of the megastar’s concert film release.

Due to an “unprecedented demand,” Taylor Swift said on Instagram that the “The Eras Tour” documentary would debut on Thursday, Oct. 12, a day before the originally-scheduled date of Friday, Oct. 13.

“We’re also adding additional showtimes Friday and throughout the weekend,” Swift added. “All tickets will be available by 10 a.m. tomorrow morning. And it’ll be showing starting Friday in 90 countries all over the world.”

Fans looking to keep the good vibes outside of the screening can come to City Tap Thursday through Saturday to indulge in all things Taylor.

The takeover will kick off when Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs take the field at on Thursday night. People can start arriving at the restaurant, located at 10 Boston Wharf Road, at 7:30 p.m.

Fans will have a chance to spot Swift at the game when it is screened in the restaurant’s lounge area and at the bar. Guests can order tailgate-style specials like “This is Why We Can’t Have Nice WINGS,” that come in plain, buffalo or BBQ. Other bites include the sausage sub, loaded tots to stuffed pretzels.

Swifties can then come back to City Tap for a delicious dinner starting at 7 p.m. on Friday. Dig into Taylor-approved chicken fingers with “seemingly ranch” or ketchup.

On Saturday, City Tap will have an Miss Americana-themed brunch with a DJ playing all of Swift’s best tunes from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The restaurant will be decked out in “Eras,” décor complete with a photo station. Saturday’s brunch specials will include “Red,” red velvet waffles topped with a raspberry sauce and “All Too French,” French toast topped with mixed berries and whipped cream.

Over the three days, the bar also will be shaking up themed cocktails like Bejeweled, a concoction of purple edible glitter, vodka, lemonade, and a splash of soda; Champagne Problems, a Prosecco flight with juice mixers; and Last Kiss, an espresso martini garnished with Hershey Kisses.

Don’t forget to come dressed in your best “Swift street style” as there will be a prize for the top ensemble at Saturday’s brunch. Admission is free but reservations are encouraged.
