City-owned former church out to bid in Westfield

WESTFIELD — The city of Westfield has put out requests for proposals for the former St. Casimir Church on 38 Parkside Ave. and the adjacent parking area on 12 Casimir St. Both parcels are zoned Residence B and are going together for one sale.

The proposed property has historically been used for church and educational purposes, and the city envisions an end-use consistent with its historic use and/or consistent with the existing fabric of this established residential neighborhood, according to the bid proposal.
