WESTFIELD — A city man was ordered held without bail after being charged with assault and battery with serious injury for a physical altercation last week that left another man in critical condition, according to court documents.
Moise N. Lopez, 57, of 13 Clark St., Westfield, was picked up on the single charge after police were called to a fast-service restaurant where he worked on Thursday, June 19, because of an unrelated disturbance involving a customer, according to court documents.
The day before, Wednesday, June 18, at about 3:20 p.m., officers were called to Elm Street Plaza behind the Pioneer Valley Transit Authority terminal on Arnold Street after being alerted to an unconscious man, according to a statement of facts written by Police Detective Jason Williams.
