WESTFIELD — Over the next two weeks, City Council dates and meetings are being adjusted for public hearings, reconciliation and vote on the fiscal year 2026 budget and to continue several ongoing matters before the City Council, including expanding uses in Industrial A and allowing backyard chickens by right.
A special City Council meeting and public hearing on the FY26 budget is scheduled for Monday, June 23, at 6 p.m. in City Council Chambers. City Auditor Vicki Moro will present a financial overview of the city, followed by a public hearing on the $163.8 millionl budget as submitted earlier in the month by Mayor Michael McCabe. At the hearing,all interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard for or against the proposed expenditures.
