CHICOPEE — When the city was nearing the finish line on a roughly 18-year project to revitalize a 65-acre factory campus that had been a burden for decades, problems were brewing for an industrial building two miles away.
Despite the challenges the city has faced cleaning up the massive Uniroyal and Facemate properties off West Main Street and more recently witnessing two projects fizzle as the privately-owned Cabotville sits empty, Mayor John L. Vieau said he is hopeful success is around the corner.
