CHICOPEE — A new proposal to convert Cabotville Mill into housing and business space has taken a bad turn with the latest developer withdrawing an application for project permits.
Mayor John L. Vieau confirmed the New York developer met with directors of multiple departments including planning, fire, police, water, engineering about the proposal to renovate the historic mill building and did not have the information needed to go forward.
“The application was severely deficient and they asked to withdraw,” City Planner Lee Pouliot said.
