Chicopee Housing Authority asks judge to toss suit over stabbing of resident

CHICOPEE — The Chicopee Housing Authority has filed a motion to dismiss a lawsuit alleging it contributed to the stabbing death of one of its residents, arguing the litigation it settled with the federal government days ago does not have any bearing on the case.

In August, six plaintiffs filed a lawsuit against the housing authority and its former executive director, Monica Blazic, saying they engaged in neglect and discrimination.
