AMHERST – The stakes could not have been higher and the weather could not have been worse for the highly anticpated matchup between Amherst and Chicopee Comp with both teams needing the win to stay in the mix for state tournament berths.

The Colts (7-0, 4-0) needed a win to have a chance at staying inside the top 16 of Division III, while Amherst (5-2, 3-1) was on the outside looking in for Division IV.
