WEST SPRINGFIELD — A local landmark was heavily damaged in a Tuesday afternoon fire, saddening employees and residents.
Charlie’s Diner, at 218 Union St., was closed for the day when the flames were first spotted at 4:33 p.m. No one was injured in the fire, Fire Chief C.J. Bartone said.
