Game of the week: Saint John’s Shrewsbury at BC High on Monday April 28 at 4 p.m.

After three weeks there are finally no undefeated teams left in Catholic Conference baseball. On April 16, Xaverian beat Saint John’s Shrewsbury 2-1 to give them their first loss of the season.

The Pioneers however followed that up with a 10-0 win over Milford, and an 8-0 win over Algonquin to keep the top spot in this week’s rankings.

With the win, Xaverian jumps BC High for the second spot but a 5-1 loss to Taunton keeps them from going any higher.

The two Eagles squads take spots three and four this week. BC High bounced back from a loss to St. John’s Prep with a shutout win over Barnstable.

After beating BC High and Haverhill, Prep has their first winning streak of the year and looks to continue it against Needham on Wednesday afternoon.

Winners of three straight, the Knights are beginning to put things together, posting a plus-15 run differential over that span.
