Cambridge City Councilor Paul Toner, one of several dozen men accused of paying for sex through a high-end brothel ring, announced Monday that he won’t seek reelection.
Toner was first elected to the council in 2021 and won reelection in 2023. But this March, Toner was implicated, along with dozens of other men, in a brothel ring that operated in the city and catered to wealthy clients.
Court documents showed Toner paid for sex at least 13 times over the course of a roughly seven-month period between January and September of 2023.
