Atlas Chiropractic of Holyoke announced the completion of its 2025 Annual Giving campaign to support local food security efforts. Dr. James W. McCann presented a check for $8,055 to Michael Nowak of Providence Ministries, which operates Kate’s Kitchen. The presentation took place at the Atlas Chiropractic office on Dwight Street, marking the culmination of the practice’s 13th Annual Patient Appreciation Event.
This annual initiative brings together McCann, his staff, and the patient community to support those in need within the Holyoke area. Historically involving food drives, the event has evolved to focus on monetary donations to maximize impact for local service providers.

DESCO (Diagnostic Equipment Service Corp.), primarily a medical and research-related service organization, has launched a dental division, DESCO Dental, expanding the organization’s equipment repair services to private and corporate dental service organizations throughout the state and into Connecticut.
Service technicians from DESCO Dental will maintain and repair dental chairs, vacuum systems, sterilizers and air compressors and provide handpiece tool replacement.
The venture is the latest project of Andrea Bordenca, chairperson and second-generation CEO of DESCO Service.
Bordenca recently hired Ryan Archambault, of Southampton, to lead the new entity in Massachusetts. Archambault has 30 years’ experience in the dental industry and previously worked as a dental field service technician and has overseen business development.
DESCO is already in conversations to expand in Miami and Jacksonville, Florida; Raleigh, North Carolina; New Orleans and Atlanta in 2026.
Plans are in progress for an internship program that provides hands-on experience and exposure to the dental repair field, with opportunities to transition into full-time positions offering health care benefits and competitive salaries.

Easthampton has partnered with CivicPlus, a provider of integrated technology solutions exclusively for local governments, to launch a newly re-branded, mobile-responsive, and highly functional civic website. This project was initiated by Executive Assistant Lindsi Sekula, who spearheaded the launch of the city’s updated website in 2021.
IT Project Manager Eleanor Cartelli worked with Sekula to streamline navigation, enhance layout and integrate new tools that improve the overall user experience. They modernized the site to be more accessible, intuitive, and responsive, bringing Easthampton another step closer to meeting the 2027 ADA digital accessibility requirements.
The redesigned website now features updated pages, simplified pathways to high-traffic information, enhanced search functions, and the introduction of a multilingual chatbot.

The Massachusetts Legislative Manufacturing Caucus, in partnership with the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative’s Center for Advanced Manufacturing and the Massachusetts Manufacturing Extension Partnership, held the 10th annual Manufacturing Awards Ceremony at the Massachusetts Manufacturing Mash-Up at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.
